You can bet on the Trifecta on selected race meetings daily. The aim with the Trifecta is to  select the 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the correct order in a race of 8 or more runners nominated daily by the Tote.
Straight Trifecta
The Straight Trifecta bet requires you to select the first, second and third horses in the correct order. Trifecta bets where the field is reduced to less than 5 runners before coming under Starter's Orders will be void. Trifecta bets that include a non-runner will also be void.
Stakes: Single entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of €2, rising thereafter in multiples of 50c. Permutation entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of 50c rising in multiples thereafter of 50c provided a minimum of €2 is staked. Returns will be paid in accordance with the official dividend.
Combination Trifecta
Betting on the Combination Trifecta also requires you to select the first, second and third horse but they can come in any order in a Trifecta race. You may select as many horses as you wish. Trifecta bets where the field is reduced to less than 5 runners before coming under Starter's Orders will be void. Within the Combination any individual Trifecta bet containing a non-runner will be void but the others will stand.
Stakes: Combination entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of €2 rising in multiples thereafter of 50c provided a minimum of €2 is staked. Returns will be paid in accordance with the official dividend.
Banker Trifecta
To be successful in a Banker Trifecta, you must select the winner of a Trifecta race and you can make multiple selections for which you think will finish second and third. Trifecta bets where the field is reduced to less than 5 runners before coming under Starter's Orders will be void. Within the Banker Permutations any individual Trifecta bet containing a non-runner will be void but the others will stand.
Stakes: Permutation entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of €2, rising in multiples thereafter of 50c, provided a minimum of €2 is staked. Returns will be paid in accordance with the official dividend. |
