Bet Types & Rules for French Racing
The bet types we will be offering for the French races are:
Win
-In all races comprising at least two runners.
-First horse to pass the post.
-Minimum bet amount is €2 - increasing in increments of €1.
Place
-In all races comprising more than three runners.
-Either one of the two first horses in a race with four to seven runners or, one of the first three horses in a race with eight or more runners.
-Minimum bet amount is €2 - increasing in increments of €1 .
IMPORTANT TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR FRENCH BETTING
Stables:
When several horses declared runners in the same race belong to the same owner or are declared coupled, they are said to be a 'stable'. This will be denoted on the racecard as follows:
Horse 1: Nono Des Ongrais (A)
Horse 2: Olifan De Sarti (A)
If one of these horses comes first, all single Win bets placed on the other runners of the stable are awarded the same win dividend.
Dead Heat:
In the case of a dead heat finish the following applies:
-Win bets on all horses having finished first place are awarded a Win dividend.
-Place bets on all horses having finished lst or 2nd place in races with less than eight runners and Place bets on all horses having finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in races with eight or more runners, are awarded a Place dividend.
Non-runners:
If, for any reason whatsoever, a horse originally declared a runner should not turn up when ordered by the Starting Judge, or if the latter should declare the horse not under Starters Orders, all Win and Place bets on that horse are reimbursed and the sum of those bets deducted from the Win and Place handles.
